The MS-Mondraker Team led by Danny Hart, reigning downhill World Champion 2016, Laurie Greenland Vice World Champion and Markus Pekoll, 12th at Worlds has achieved the biggest success in its history winning the overall team standings at the World Cup downhill 2016.
The key of the season has been, without a doubt, the solid results of all MS-Mondraker Team riders, with the highlight of Danny Hart successes, beginning the season with a 3rd place at Lourdes (France), and he’s been on the podium on 6 out of 7 World Cup races this season, with a 4th place, two 3rd places and the best possible season finish, winning the last three World Cup races in 2016. Undoubtedly, one of the most spectacular winning streaks in recent years and in World Cup history, being the best downhill racer at the present time, the perfect match with his Mondraker Summum Carbon: the perfect winning combination.
Since its victory at the World Cup in Lenzerheide (Switzerland) on July 9, 2016, Danny has been on a roll, winning the remaining races of the season including the Worlds on September 11 in Val di Sole, Italy, Danny’s second overall Elite World Championship after the one he achieved in Champery, Switzerland back in 2011. The regular results and consistency of Markus Pekoll and specially Laurie Greenland –amazing on his first year as a Elite with only 19 years old- have been decisive to have achieved our greatest success to date with the “hart-trick” of Danny Hart at the World Cup, winning the World Championships and the overall team standings victory for the MS-Mondraker Team. One Summum Carbon, two and three at the top. Without a doubt, the best downhill bike at present and probably of all time. We make history.
