First “podium” for the F-Podium at the World Cup
If the adverse weather conditions of the first 2019 World Cup race in Albstadt could have been an obstacle to enjoy the start of the international XCO racing season in a big way, the sun has shone brightly in the second round in Nove Mesto (Czech Republic). Our newly released F-Podium has made it onto the first international podium, with a striking second place finish by the Australian Bec McConnell (Primaflor-Mondraker) following race winner Kate Courtney (Scott-SRAM). McConnell raced in attack mode and from the start of the race led the very first lap of the start-loop. She was able to pace herself good enough for a very consistent lap-to-lap timing taking the best performance out of the F-Podium both in the more technical climbs and in the very fast descents, full of sketchy drops and filled with roots, reaching the finish line in second position for the joy of the entire Primaflor- Mondraker Team members, the fans enjoying the race in Nove Mesto and all the fans following the live broadcast on RedBull.tv.
Pablo Rodríguez in the Men’s Elite category finished in a fantastic 14th place, racing towards the top places from the very beginning and fighting for the top 10 until the last lap. The 14th place is a very outstanding result coming from 24th in the first World Cup race in Albstadt, finishing as the first Spanish male racer of the day and again confirming the promising debut of the Mondraker F-Podium in this 2019 World Cup.
